Inspired by classical drapery and Renaissance sculpture, Drapegio Gigante captures the fluidity of fabric on an architectural scale. Its folds flow across the wall like cloth caught mid-movement. The material seems to retain the memory of the fabric, its ripples and the way it falls.

With this composition, Aurélie Fretti continues an exploration shaped by her Italian roots and her affinity with forms found in nature. The references to classical statuary that run through her work take the form of monumental drapery. Recesses and raised folds suggest fabric drawn taut, then falling loose. This impression of softness gives Drapegio its distinctive character: a wall sculpture that captures the delicacy of cloth.
