Ochapéu 2 Table Lamp, Policronica.

Its name - “ochapéu,” the hat - speaks of the simplicity of form.
Beneath a conical shade, two vertical uprights compose an architecture reduced to its essence: a shelter for light.

Crafted from eucalyptus wood, Ochapéu 2 plays with contrast — between the warmth of the material and a black lacquer finish with a subtle steel-like sheen, a trompe-l’œil that blurs the line between wood and metal.

Its silhouette recalls both a miniature pavilion and a Japanese lantern, where every line serves a quiet, deliberate illumination.

Handcrafted in the workshops of Rio Maior, this piece embodies Policronica’s philosophy: a design rooted in matter, faithful to gesture and time.

Materials: black-lacquered eucalyptus wood, natural beeswax finish.
