The bronze Coco Candleholder is an homage to paradise on earth, inspired by the unspoiled nature of the Lighthouse Reef off the coast of Belize : a memory of searching for shells on the beach, captured in solid bronze.

Irene Maria Ganser's deep connection with the natural world is evident in her work. Contrast, structure, the touch and feel of an object play significant roles, each piece of art is organic and comes with its unique differences. At each time of day they look different. They may appear soft in the evening light and show their strong contrasts at midday.

Living and working in Vienna, where all her pieces are created, Irene Maria Ganser finds inspiration in the local tradition of art foundry craftsmanship. Ganser successfully echoes the ubiquitous Jugendstil – brass, bronze, patina and craftsmanship. Her work is regularly shown at international design fairs, exhibitions as well as in the architectural press.

Made in very limited series, the artist's pieces are destined to become collectors' items.
