THE FIASCA by Cose in Corso

The Fiasca, Cose in Corso.

The Fiasca draws inspiration from ancient apothecary jars, once designed to fit perfectly on the shelves of Renaissance pharmacies. Sleek and equipped with practical handles, these vessels held potions and remedies, symbolizing a world that was both mystical and medicinal.

Each piece is handcrafted by master ceramists from Abruzzo, Italy, using traditional ceramic techniques dating back to the 16th century. The typical decorations are replaced here by a deep black glaze, meticulously polished by hand to achieve a subtle matte finish. This striking contrast between the smooth black surface and the gentle curves of the classic shape gives the object a presence that is both assertive and delicate.

The Fiasca is part of the second collection of Cose in Corso, Apothecary, inspired by Abruzzo. It showcases ceramic objects that embody the beauty of a tradition that, although no longer existing, lives on through forms and craftsmanship passed down through generations. Cose in Corso's approach seeks to reintroduce a poetic dimension to the creation process. Each collection is inspired by history, archaeology, and geography, aiming to translate the essence of a region into tangible forms.

Handcrafted in Italy.
