FCK TABLE LAMP by Serax
FCK Table Lamp, Serax.
Simple objects, almost self-evident, which FCK regards above all as tools for living. The French designer Frederick Gautier is known for his concrete objects -serene and pared down - that clearly reference modernist and brutalist architecture. His lighting work extends this formal research into the domestic space. What he values most in brutalism is the purity of form, a constructive and material honesty.
The table lamp is composed of nothing more than what is necessary: one straight horizontal form and one straight vertical form. A minimal vocabulary, almost self-evident. Through the use of concrete and aluminum, the lamp retains a particularly sober, slightly raw texture that contrasts sharply with the warmth of the domestic living room. It introduces a calm, structuring architectural presence into the interior.
