For over forty years, Galerie MCDE has been dedicated to preserving and reissuing the furniture and lighting designed by architect and decorator Pierre Chareau. In close collaboration with French artisans, the gallery continues to uphold and transmit this demanding savoir-faire.

An iconic piece by Pierre Chareau, the Religieuse lamp combines a conical solid-wood base with an alabaster shade, its silhouette inspired by the cornette once worn by nuns-hence its evocative name.

Sculptural and audacious, it plays with contrasts: the sensual roundness of the wooden base set against the angular purity of the alabaster plates above, a composition both rigorous and insolently free.

Materials: White veined alabaster, brown veined alabaster, or mixed slabs of white veined and brown veined alabaster - according to the chosen finish. Mahogany shaft, rosewood-stained, satin finish. Black-painted metal.

Handcrafted in France.

Natural variations in alabaster veins and wood tone make each piece unique.
