The Original 1227 desk lamp combines vintage design, contemporary functionality and timeless elegance.

Designed in 1934 by automotive engineer George Carwardine for the iconic British brand Anglepoise, it has since become a true lighting design icon.

Carwardine’s breakthrough came with the invention of a new type of constant-tension spring, which enabled him to create a lamp that was both highly flexible and perfectly stable - inspired by the movement of a human arm.

The Original 1227 is the ideal companion for any workspace.
