AR1 FLOOR LIGHT by Disderot
AR1 Floor Light, Abraham & Rol for Disderot.
Designed in the 1960s by Abraham & Rol, the AR1 floor light combines an avant-garde feel with a sense of a timelessness and quality. The lamp is made in a traditional way, in stainless steel and polished walnut with custom made screws.
Adjustable in height, this is a lamp which is both elegant and extremely practical. It comes complete with an integrated dimmable LED module, which emits light both up and down. It is possible to control whether to turn on the uplighter and the downlighter together, or separately, making the lamp ideal for either ambient lighting, or task lighting.
Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Rol worked in symbiosis all their life, opening their own agency and creating a number of iconic pieces, such as the sun chair or convertible AR bench. Their influences ranged from the traditional Japanese house to contemporary American architecture.
The AR1 Lamp is made in France and comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
