New Works is a Danish design studio founded in 2015 in Copenhagen by Nikolaj Meier and Knut Bendik Humlevik. Driven by a shared ambition to create a space where design comes to life with care and intention, they set out to develop an evolving collection of sculptural, sensory, yet accessible objects for everyday living.
The brand takes a strongly curated approach: each piece is part of a dialogue between craftsmanship and experimentation, form and function, nature and industry. Materials such as marble, wood, textile, and metal are treated with respect - raw or refined - always in the service of a clear and contemporary design language.
Rooted in Scandinavian tradition, New Works embraces contrasts: light and shadow, softness and structure. Through collaborations with international designers and artists, the studio cultivates a tactile, expressive aesthetic that places materiality and emotion at the core of its creative process.
The name “New Works” reflects this founding intention - to provide a space for thoughtful, free, and resolutely contemporary creations.
