Marie-Victoire Winckler | Chiara Colombini

Marie-Victoire Winckler grew up in a family deeply connected to craftsmanship. Granddaughter of a wool refiner settled in Rabat, Morocco, Marie-Victoire grew up between Berlin, Paris and Rome in an environment inspired by arts and crafts. She loves exploring and gathering inspiration from different creative worlds.

After more than ten years in the world of design and luxury - with the Italian furniture house Cassina in Meda, and later alongside Patricia Urquiola in Milan and India Mahdavi in Paris - she founded her own design studio in 2016.

At the crossroads of design and fine craftsmanship, Marie-Victoire Winckler develops a thoughtful and sensitive approach where the hand guides the form, and where each project arises from a dialogue between material, light, and function.

With her Totem collection, Marie-Victoire Winckler creates a repertoire of forms and materials, to be mixed and matched.

Table lamp, wall light, ceiling light... Each piece is composed of a glazed ceramic base - white, black or a rich burgundy red - paired with a blown-glass globe, either white or patterned.

Discreet or assertive, minimal or maximalist - Totem is a light to be shaped by its owner.

All glass globes are mouth-blown, and the ceramic bases are hand-shaped in Portugal, in workshops where tradition continues to thrive.
