Charlotte Catan is the founder of el&c, a Paris-based studio dedicated to refined, bespoke interior design. Trained between Paris and Tel Aviv, she developed an early sensitivity to volume, light, and the way space can tell a story.
Her approach is scenographic – each project is conceived as a living composition, where architectural clarity meets emotional resonance. Light plays a central role in her work: studied, shaped, and treated as a material in its own right.
Charlotte often draws inspiration from the memory of a place. A faded hue, a forgotten detail, a trace of the past may serve as the starting point. Her taste for detail was honed through years working with luxury houses, including a long-standing collaboration with Givenchy Couture, where she led the design of international boutiques.
Today, she creates poetic, tailored spaces anchored in real life – spaces that speak with quiet precision. Her design language also extends into a growing collection of objects, conceived as sculptural extensions of her architectural vision.
