The name Oblure is a mix of the two words object and allure, which is the core of the brand – to make alluring objects.
Oblure was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden with the desire to make innovative products that add something new to the field of lighting. With its Scandinavian roots, Oblure loves simplistic, minimalistic and functional objects – but always with a little extra !
Oblure is run by Deniz Campinar and Markus Johansson who both share a passion and knowledge for lighting, design, function, and technology.
Markus Johansson is the founder and Art Director of Oblure. With a master in design from the Academy of Art and Design of Gothenburg, he has been passionate about creating for as long as he can remember. "When I grew up I used to communicate by drawing, shaping and colouring... For me, design is about conveying an emotion that enhances everyday life".
Deniz Campinar studied electrical engineering together with lighting technology and design, then worked as a consultant for one of Europe’s great lighting design companies, Light Bureau, before joining Johansson at Oblure in 2020.
Oblure works with a selection of international designers, always with the aim to build an innovative collection, that will surprise and intrigue the beholder.
